Civil Engg.

Academic:  The department offers a three years diploma course in Civil Engg. awarded by Haryana State Board of Technical Education.  The programme aims at equipping the students with theoretical knowledge and practical skill required for operational, constructional and maintenance of elementary design aspects of Civil Engg. projects.  The department has fully developed shops and laboratories as detailed below: -

1.      Survey Lab (having all modern and latest instruments; Ti Theodo, EDM, QS   level etc.)

2.      Soil Engg. Lab with two nos. triaxial testing machines and other sophisticated equipments.

3.      Highway Engg. Lab with working models of equipments.

4.      Concrete Technology Lab with all testing facilities.

5.      Building Construction and Engg. Materials Lab

6.      Water Supply and Sanitary Engg. Lab

7.      Survey Camp in a Hilly area and live projects are Special features of the department.

Consultancy:  The department is conducting testing of cement, concrete and soils for Govt. Deptts., Semi-Govt. Deptts., Public Sector Agencies and Private Sector Agencies.  Department has the expertise to handle various Civil Works.

Employment:  The diploma holders from this department have found employment in various Govt. Deptts, Public and Pvt. Enterprises such as; PWD (B & R), PWD Irrigation, PWD (Public Health), Railways, MES, CPWD, Pollution Control Board, Housing Boards, HUDA, HSEB, MITC, Panchayat Raj, and some has started their own enterprises.
